The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will hold its Memorial Days service this coming Saturday, May 26, at the GAR Monument in the cemetery at 10 AM. They will honor a WWll veteran who served on the aircraft carrier Suannee. This carrier received more Battle stars than any other Naval vessel in WWll except for the Enterprise
